Roof-Inspection-And-Maintenance

Whether you recently replaced your roof or haven’t installed a new roof in quite a while, inspecting your roof from time to time can be very beneficial. Continual roof inspection and roof maintenance should be done to ensure maximum roof performance.

Here is what to do…Keep eavestroughs and roof surfaces clean and clear of debris, allowing water to flow freely off the roof. Keep trees near your roof trimmed to prevent branches from damaging and/or scuffing your roof. Inspect the underside of the roof deck in the attic to detect any signs of roof leaks. Flashing areas are the most vulnerable points, water stains will be evident if there has been leakage or severe condensation.

Make semi-annual inspections of your roof to evaluate its general condition in terms of finding roof defects. The best time for a roof inspection is in the spring or the fall after the severe weather conditions have passed.
